Notifications allows OMX to match your organization with relevant RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs. You can setup as many notifications as you want - it is recommended that you set up notifications for all of your company's products, services, and capabilities so you don't miss any opportunities.

Welcome to the second of three parts in OMX Onboarding. The OMX onboarding process was designed to be as simple and as painless as possible.

Companies that finish onboarding receive three times as many relevant opportunities and up to five times as many connections.

It takes less than half an hour to onboard completely - and the benefits are permanent.

 


 

Your OMX Notifications

OMX uses the information from your profile to match you to interested buyers and sellers and relevant opportunities. Buyers and sellers will also look at your profile when determining if you are the right connection to make.

Taking five minutes to setup notifications will drastically improve the RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and opportunities you receive on OMX.

For our onboarding, I will be using the fictional "International Systems" company.

 

A note about URLs 

Each organization in OMX receives its own unique subdomain.

In our onboarding training below, I will be providing generic URLs to various pages and steps. You will need to replace the subdomain of the URLs to your organization's subdomain.

You can find your subdomain by logging into your OMX account and looking at the first half of the URL before ".theomx.com." 

For example, for the fictional "International Systems" company, the URL is "https://intldef.theomx.com" so the subdomain is therefore "intldef."

So if the generic Marketplace URL is

https://your-company.theomx.com/companies

Then the Marketplace URL for International Systems would be

https://intldef.theomx.com/companies

OMX Profile Onboarding

Follow these seven simple steps to complete your OMX Profile and finish the first part of your OMX onboarding.

 

1. Login to OMX

To fill out your profile, login to your OMX account and organization through https://theomx.com/login

 

2. Go to the "Opportunities" page

Once you are on your dashboard, move your cursor to hover over the menu on the left-hand size and click "Opportunities." (Highlighted in the red box below.)

This will take you to the "Opportunities" page where you can see your existing notifications and add new ones.

You can also access the "Opportunities" page directly after logging in by going to

https://your-company.theomx.com/opportunities

(Remember to replace "your-company" with your company's subdomain!)

 

3. Click "Add a Notification"

To add a new notification, click "Add a Notification" on the "Opportunities" page. (Highlighted in the red box below.)

This will take you to the "Create Opportunity Notification" page.

You can also access the "Create Opportunity Notification" page directly by going to

https://your-company.theomx.com/opportunity_notifications/new

 

4. Complete the various fields for your new notification

You can now fill out the various notification fields. OMX will use these fields to match you with relevant opportunities - so be as comprehensive as you can.

Click the "Save" button on the top right to save your notification. You will then be taken back to the "Opportunities" page where you can see your list of notifications.

 

You have now successfully added an Opportunity notification. It is highly recommended that you add a notification for each of your organization's product, services, and capabilities. This will ensure that you receive the greatest number of relevant RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs.
