Completing your OMX profile is one of the most basic onboarding steps but also among the most important. Find out how to optimize your profile to ensure the largest number of relevant opportunities and connections.

Welcome to the first of three parts in OMX Onboarding. The OMX onboarding process was designed to be as simple and as painless as possible.

Companies that finish onboarding receive three times as many relevant opportunities and up to five times as many connections.

It takes less than half an hour to onboard completely - and the benefits are permanent.

 


Your OMX Profile

OMX uses the information from your profile to match you to interested buyers and sellers and relevant opportunities. Buyers and sellers will also look at your profile when determining if you are the right connection to make.

Taking 15 minutes to ensure your profile is setup correctly and comprehensively will drastically improve the opportunities and connections you receive on OMX.

For our onboarding, I will be using the fictional "International Systems" company.

 

A note about URLs 

Each organization in OMX receives its own unique subdomain.

In our onboarding training below, I will be providing generic URLs to various pages and steps. You will need to replace the subdomain of the URLs to your organization's subdomain.

You can find your subdomain by logging into your OMX account and looking at the first half of the URL before ".theomx.com." 

For example, for the fictional "International Systems" company, the URL is "https://intldef.theomx.com" so the subdomain is therefore "intldef."

So if the generic Marketplace URL is

https://your-company.theomx.com/companies

Then the Marketplace URL for International Systems would be

https://intldef.theomx.com/companies

OMX Profile Onboarding

Follow these seven simple steps to complete your OMX Profile and finish the first part of your OMX onboarding.

 

1. Login to OMX

To fill out your profile, login to your OMX account and organization through https://theomx.com/login

 

2. Go to the "Edit Organizations page"

Once you are on your dashboard, move your cursor to hover over the menu on the left-hand size, click "Settings," then "Organizations," then "Details." (Highlighted in the red box below.)

This will take you to the "Edit Organization" page:

You can also access the "Edit Organization" page directly after logging in by going to

https://your-company.theomx.com/edit-organization

(Remember to replace "your-company" with your company's subdomain!)

 

3. Fill out the three steps on the "Edit Organization" page

If you look at the top-left of the page, you will see that you are currently on "Step 1" of three steps. (Highlighted in the red box below.)

Each step will automatically save if you navigate between them. You can also click the "Save" button the top right before navigating away.

It is highly recommended that you fill out as many fields as possible on all three steps.

This will allow OMX to provide you with the largest number of relevant opportunities and connections. It will also allow other buyers and sellers on OMX to find you and incentivize them to contact you.

Step 1: This contains information that will be displayed in your public profile. 

Step 2: This contains information about your organization's facilities and capabilities.

Step 3: This contains information about your organization's certifications and alliances.

You have now completed your profile.

 

4. Go to the Contact Information page

To go to the "Contact Information page," move your cursor to hover over the menu on the left-hand size, click "Settings," then "Organizations," then "Contact." (Highlighted in the red box below)

You can also access the "Contact Information" page directly after logging in by going to

https://your-company.theomx.com/contacts

 

5. Fill out the Organization, Location, and Contacts pages

If you look at the top-left of the page, you will see that you are currently on "Organization" page. (Highlighted in the red box below.)

It is highly recommended that you fill out as many fields as possible on all three steps.

Organization: This contains contact information for your organization.

Locations: This contains information about your organization's location. Many buyers and sellers search by geography, so it's important 

Contacts: This contains information about your organization's certifications and alliances.

You have now completed your contact information.

 

6. Go to the Products & Services page

To go the "Products & Services" page, move your cursor to hover over the menu on the left-hand size, click "Settings," then "Organizations," then "Products & Services." (Highlighted in the red box below)

You can also access the "Product & Services" page directly after logging in by going to

https://your-company.theomx.com/products

 

7. Fill out the Product Codes, Products, and Services pages

If you look at the top-left of the page, you will see that you are currently on the "Product Codes" page. (Highlighted in the red box below.)

It is highly recommended that you fill out as many fields as possible on all three steps.

Product Codes: This contains your organziation's product codes.

Products: This contains your organization's products.

Services: This contains your organization's services.

You have now completed your organization's Products and Services information.
